So what did I spot today?? Not a lot around the Venn so went into the big city that is Sidmouth!!!! The other day I went up to Conaught gardens to photograph the rough seas and when up there I noticed things from summer still flowereing. So I went up and found a few bumblee bees.
Also I found what might turn out to be the first record in the UK for this solitary bee (Andrena nigroaenea) so well done Sidmouth.
oh and the daffs are out along fortescue:)
On the bug front I found this crane fly (Limonia nubeculosa)
Also spotted a policeman looking lost so I asked what he was looking for and told me a missing 80 year old, I got the description of him and went for a little walk and found him up a the triangle. I stopped talking to him for a bit and worked out it was the man they were looking for about to call 101 or whatever no emergency numbers is when a police car started driving up the road so I jumped out infront and pointed towards the chap and went on my merry way. Good deed done for the day.
Bye for now :)
